First off: Please! Please! Please write another book! I love to read and I honestly have to say the way you write is so unique from any other author. It is a true gift to be able to write as well as you do! You are easily my favorite author of all time and I can't wait for you to write more books! Second off: How did you decide you wanted to become an author? Was there anything else you wanted to do?

Ahh, Miranda! Thank you so much! I'm beyond honored to hear that you love my writing and I'm excited to share more stories with you.
So next up is my third book with Harper Teen, which is still listed as "Untitled" on Goodreads, but I'm hoping to be able to share more details about this book very soon. It's a new YA Fantasy, completely different from TQR, and is scheduled to publish in 2020. I'm also in the middle of drafting what I hope to be my fourth published book, so I'm always working on something. :)
To answer your second question: I have always wanted to be an author. I remember being 8 years old and having the dream of being published. And when people asked me, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I would always reply, "An author."
I think it was due to my voracious reading and deep love of fantastical stories as a child. I devoured books, and that in turn sparked the desire to create my own stories. I spent many many hours writing as a teen. I went to college and studied English because I loved reading and writing so much. There really wasn't anything else I felt called to be. Writing has always been my first passion, and I'm incandescently happy/still in shock that I have the opportunity to do it full time now.
