Do you still sign at Uncle Hugo's in Minneapolis on occasion? We are planning to drive from Long Island to Dallas this fall & fiancee has angling for a detour through Wisconsin for the cheese. I am counter-angling to drive just a bit further to Minneapolis because... science fiction bookstore. If you do still sign and I could schedule that just right... shazam!

Lois McMaster Bujold I do sign at Hugo's occasionally, but my next gig is planned for midsummer when "The Flowers of Vashnoi" comes out from Subterranean Press. Hugo's always has signed books of mine in stock, however, which may be purchased in-store or mail order. Mail orders can sometimes be personalized on request, though it will make the order take a bit longer to fill.

Hugo's makes a great treasure trove to visit, and don't forget the adjoining Uncle Edgar's for mysteries. Meanwhile, if one's interests run to a wide range of comics, there is also Dreamhaven Books & Comics here in Minneapolis.

Again I am rereading Captain Vorpatril's Alliance. Knowing G. Heyer is was something of an early influence for you, the thought drifted across my mind that Ivan is a many generations distant descendent of Freddy from Cottilion (he is my favorite character amongst Heyer's books). Both tend to be overshadowed by brighter stars, both have down to earth common sense. Was Freddie also a favorite of yours?
