Rebecca Ross Hi! So I envision the story taking place on Earth, but just like you said: in a parallel world. The laws of seasons, gravity, night and day, etc in Maevana and Valenia are all just like they are here on Earth (with the addition of magic). Valenia is inspired by Renaissance France, and Maevana draws inspiration from Medieval Scotland and Ireland.

But maybe one day I'll write a book that is set on a different planet, because that does sound fun! :)
