(Not sure if these have already been asked). The Carpathains who lived in the monastery often mention that they did not swear allegiance to Mikhail after what happened with his father Vlad. Can we assume this is a reference to Dracula (some historical accounts mention an elder son named Mikhail)? Will we ever hear a story of how Vlad earned the Carpathians' distrust, or do we assume he went vampire a la Bram Stoker?

Christine Feehan I don't know that anyone has asked me that. At least not on social media. But, no. Vlad is not Dracula.
