Maggie Shayne Hi, Avery. I think that sounds most like TWILIGHT HUNGER. The one where she finds the diaries in attic and thinks they were written by a long dead lunatic who thought he was a vampire. She uses them to write screenplays that put her on the map in the film industry, but he comes stalking her. And there's a scene where he's in the basement and she sort of feels him there.
