Just start. Get that idea out of your head and put it down on the computer, on paper, dictation, whatever! Turn your thoughts and ideas into a rough draft. Don't stress over the flow and the wording because guess what? There's going to be second and third drafts too (often times more!) and that's when you worry about making it pretty. Also, get involved in a writing community online. Meet other authors who are in all different stages of their development. They are an invaluable resource and it's such a close knit community that I feel everyone wants to help each other out.
