Great book !!! I am curious to ask if you are familiar with the PS3 game " The Last Of Us " ? It felt great for me to read your book , soon after I played that game .I am also curious how is Melanie able to subdue the others in the end of the book , perhaps she is recognized as the new leader ?

Hi Zafir. I hadn't heard of The Last Of Us until after I'd finished writing GIRL (which is probably just as well). A friend has now loaned me her copy, and I'm going to break it out soon and play it. The truth is that I almost never play modern console games. I have a PS3, but I only use it for Netflix access. The games I play are 80s arcade games with very simple graphics...

When you looked at all the zombie stuff that can be thrown into the mega text, what were some of the things you wanted to avoid in your book? Were there certain things you wanted to hit on by adding your own twist? Why do you think that it's been necessary to divide zombies into two stages?
