Goodreads asked Jon Michaelsen:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Jon Michaelsen Many great gay mystery novels are being/have been re-released this summer, including by such ground-breaking writers as Michael Nava, creator of the Henry Rios Mystery series. I have re-read Howtown, book #3 in the original series. I am currently reading Nava's latest Henry Rios Mystery - book #8; the first novel in the series in almost two decades (and it's incredible!). Another classic re-published for the first time since 1991 by ReQueered Tales is the horror-classic, STEAM, by the late Jay B. Laws, a one-of-a kind queer horror/suspense novel; a must read by newer generations. Other novels read/or upcoming: Orientation (Borealis Investigations, #1) by Gregory Ashe & The Cricketer's Arms (A Clyde Smith Mystery, #1) by Garrick Jones.
