Lunchbox
Lunchbox asked Jennifer A. Nielsen:

Hello, Mrs Nielsen! I was wondering if you could tell us more about the other countries in The False Prince-- Especially Gelyn? I don't believe there's any information on that country in the series.

Jennifer A. Nielsen The King of Gelyn is King Aranscot. As a land which divides the northern countries from the southern ones, he reigns over a population of mostly traders and merchants. They have few natural resources of their own but because of their location they are a relatively prosperous country. However, their people are motivated by money, more so than by a sense of right and wrong, so it can be an easy thing to sway their opinions. Their ethics are open to the highest bidder. Carthya hasn’t had much trouble with Gelyn over the years, mostly because the mountains between their countries are a natural barrier, but Gelyn would not be considered an ally country either. King Aranscot is not to be trusted.
