I really liked your book "Greetings from Witness Protection." How long did it take you to write this book? And how did you make the characters seem so relatable to your regular teenager?

Hey there, Soham! It took me a few months to write the book...and then several years to revise it. I wrote it in 2014 (the same year the book is set), and it came out in 2017. I'm so glad the characters seem relatable! That's one of the biggest compliments an author can get. I think my secret is that I'm a teacher - I spend most of my day around upper elementary and middle school kids. I find their voices so valuable in keeping my writing fresh and authentic.

Hi Jake! I don't know if you'll see this,but something I noticed while reading GFWP was the sort of relationship between Brit and Nicki/Charlotte.In the book, they were friends but in my gay little mind, I saw the signs and potential for them to be more.So my question is: What do you think about a romantic pairing between them?I know this is kinda odd, but I couldn't stop thinking about how well of a couple they'd be!
