I'm working on a new novel. It will come out in 2021, which seems like a long way off to me. It takes time to do all the research and also write the book.

Hi Lisa, I just finished the Island of the Sea Women and I loved it! I visited Jeju-do in 2015, and while many of the tourist attractions mentioned in the book were familiar to me, I have no memory of learning about the 4-3 incident, so I was enthralled by this book. I am wondering what sources you relied on to build this story, since it obviously has a controversial history? Thank you for writing it!
