I was watching Call the Midwife on BBC TV. I wondered if there is a possibility that Bess Crawford will work as a midwife in the East End of London?

We doubt it would work because Bess is a military nurse who deals with treating wounds, assisting with surgery, etc. Bess has no experience or training as a midwife. We love that series and would love to see Bess on the BBC!

I just finished Cliff's Edge, and I enjoyed it very much. Following Bess after the war is different than all the previous war stories. It is somewhat obvious from the ending that you already have thought about the next book since you have hinted at a continuation of the Bess and Simon saga. The Cliff's Edge is a cliffhanger. How come Ian didn't come from the Yard to save the family?
