It might sound strange but the littlest things can inspire me. A song on the radio, the smell of perfume, and even the leaves on the tree outside my office inspire me to write. I once saw a metal statuette of a cat at the vet clinic. That little piece of art inspired me to write a short story about a cat in Pompeii during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
