Mr. Rankin, wanted to know if you'd read any Indian crime novels? Also, apart from the late Philip Kerr and yourself, who in Scotland is a good crime writer in your opinion?

Ian Rankin Anita Nair is the Indian novelist that springs to mind, though I've read several Anglo-Indian writers, of whom Abir Mukerjee is probably my favourite. Favourite current Scottish crime writers is probably Denise Mina with Doug Johnstone not far behind.
