Kate asked Kendare Blake:

Hello! Can there ever be two Queens born with the same gift in a set of triplets? Could all three even be born with the same gift, such as if they were all poisoners? If so, what other families would house the sisters so they’d remain separate, or would they be raised together? Sorry for the essay! :)

Kendare Blake Yes, and it has happened on occasion. One of the White-handed Queens, Queen Andira, was crowned at birth because her sisters were both oracles and drowned. And there have been generations of two poisoners, two naturalists, two elementals (though never with the same element affinities). I don’t recall if there have been two warriors. And there have not been any births where all three share the same gift, but that’s not to say it couldn’t happen.

Where the queens of similar gift would reside would be decided by the Black Council, with advice from the temple. It would be an opportunity for a less prominent family to increase their standing. But a very strong family like the Arrons would likely try to foster both, for that very reason.
