Love all your books, you're a very gifted storyteller. Where did the idea of your Dark Series come from?

I used to tell my children stories at night, particularly my oldest son Calvert. After I lost him, I was devastated. As a mother, you have to get up and carry on. The world keeps going and you're in this place of numbness. The Carpathians were born from that. Feeling no emotion. Feeling as if there was no color or joy in the world. What brought that back? For them "the one". For me it was family. So, I blended them together.

Hello, I love all your books. Torpedo Ink is my favourite, along with Leopards and Ghostwalkers. I like that each member of Torpedo Ink has a special physic gift. What is Czars? It is hinted at in Vendetta Road but did not emerge in his book in the Sea Haven series. Also, are they all telepathic? Sometimes they use radios but perhaps that's due to distance.
