The LOS mentions a special organ under Eriks heart during his rant about not knowing everything about himself just because he was himself. What's it do?

Well spotted! Eric has a number of unusual organs due to his chaos infestation, among other things. Trouble is, Eric does not realize this. He generally lets his regeneration do its thing, occasionally removes a foreign object, and otherwise ignores his internal organs. I mean, really. How often do you pay attention to your spleen? Eric doesn't. How is he supposed to know there's a layer of tissue inside the pericardial sac? (To be fair, "under the heart" was probably an oversimplification, but it was an outburst, not an explanation.)

I find your series amazing, sometimes a little slow for my taste but it always seems to be for a good reason. I love the idea of the constant problem solving of an alien world through the biased eyes of a human science lover. My question relayes to all mentioned science/presented concepts: is it all actual proven/shown to be most probable theory? If so, it's even better. Cant wait for book 5.
