A Goodreads user asked Jennifer A. Nielsen:

I've read almost all your books and I really enjoyed all of them and I was wondering if you have any writers advice to a young writer?

Jennifer A. Nielsen Hi Evi - For a lot of young writers, the big trick to learn is sticking with a project until they type "The End." It's easy to write when all the ideas are flowing and the characters are cooperating. But when you get stuck, often it's because your characters don't have an immediate problem to solve. So try this as a possible way to work through that block: Ask yourself, "What is the worst thing I can do to my characters right now?" And maybe you'll actually do it, but do whatever must be done to get to the last page of your story.
