Dark Matter was the first book of yours that I read and became one of my favorite books that I now constantly yell at people to go read. I read Recursion once it came out as well and it hit me that both books have a strong core story around family and human connection. Is there a reason why your science fiction novels, especially Dark Matter and Recursion, have such beautifully emotional family themes swirled in?
