Hi, Blake. Thanks for doing this. Earlier, you talked about writers being an "insecure bunch." As a writer, how do you combat that brick wall? I'm not only asking for myself but as a high school writing teacher, I also have to help students with that challenge.

Blake Crouch It's really hard. No matter how much you have doubts/insecurities, you can't let it actually effect the work. Sounds cheesy, but at heart, you have to believe in the stories you have to tell and single-mindedly pursue getting them written down in the best version possible.

The last two of your books have been a lot of fun for me. I’d imagine there’s quite a bit of leg work that goes into these theoretical spec novels. Do you enjoy the research or is it a slog?
