Hi Blake. I really enjoy stories that I can just sit and absorb, with no predictability as to what might happen in the next chapter, or in the final act. Recursion is the epitome of this. So my question to you is: In a story with continuously intertwined timelines and possible character arcs, did the plot design differ from your initial drafts verses what it became as your finished novel?

Yes, the book changed dramatically from what I outlined once I started writing. But this is always to be expected. An outline is just a suggestion or an educated guess of where the story might go. It should change once you start writing.

I am a high school teacher (working with boys only) and work every day with kids who don't find reading interesting, and was wondering if you have any plans to work on young adult fiction? I'd love to have a book like this up my sleeve to pass onto usually reluctant young readers to spark and hold their interest. Thanks :)

I really loved this book, kind of freaked me out also ;). As a physics teacher in high school, I will recommend my colleague language teachers to put this book on the student's recommended reading list. I wonder how you researched the stuff about dark matter and the multiversum. Did you consult teachers, professors? Did you just read about it?
