Tristan
Tristan asked Chris Grabenstein:

How do you start a new series? Also, how do you keep having inspiration throughout the whole book to keep it interesting? I have tried many different genres for books I have written myself but I always end up having the plot crash and die so I haven't finished any of them.

Chris Grabenstein All my series and stories start with a big "What if...?" A seed that can grow if properly nurtured every day. To keep your story interesting, never take your readers where they want to go right away. If a scene starts positive, it should end negative. Keep your reader off balance. Also, watch a few movies with the timeline up. Or mark up a paperback of a favorite book. Note when certain things happen. Surprises . Twists. Characters are introduced. Actively analyze a story's structure. That will help you structure your own stories better. Writers are readers first.
