My sister started reading my books the other day and asked if the queens HAVE to use their gifts to kill the others, I told her no because I mean obviously it doesn't work that way sometimes and not all the gifts are deadly, like the oracle gift. Am I right in saying that or do they have to use their gifts somehow to kill the other queens?

Kendare Blake You’re right! A queen doesn’t necessarily have to use their gift, though the overwhelming majority do. The sight gift is also still used, only indirectly, by foreseeing a queen’s sister’s actions or location beforehand.

But getting them dead is the important thing! ;)
