It was still dark, can't have been later than five in the morning, yet she was abruptly woken from her sleep by a soft tapping on her exposed shoulder. The hazy lady's eyes were met directly by a small child wearing nothing but a saturated nappy who whispered eerily, 'all the taps are on,' before scarpering into the darkness of the landing.
