Lawrence Wright I look at the finger-pointing between major powers about where the virus originated (Chinese lab?) or how (American biowarfare?) and think I got it about right in the novel. Yes, the novel is bleak, but we're not done with the geopolitical fallout of these unproved and irresponsible allegations.
