Lawrence Wright Jeff, that's impossible for me to say. It really depends on the project. "The Looming Tower" required five years and 600 interviews. "God Save Texas" was much less ambitious but also more personal. The research for "The End of October" was somewhere between the two. The writing was a lot of fun. I guess that sounds strange, given the subject!
