Idit Bourla
Idit Bourla asked Shaun David Hutchinson:

from today on, my life is parted between before reading Andrew Brawley and after. I love your writing so much. It's so dark. And so real. Have you dealt with a lost one around the time writing it? I lost my father two years ago and I still write about it in my books (which is why they are dark too and about death... people don't ever understand...)

Shaun David Hutchinson I'm sorry to hear about your father. Sending you many hugs.

The majority of why I wrote Five Stages was my anxiety about losing people. My first book came about because my mom ended up in the hospital and I was afraid I'd lose her without being able to say goodbye, and I've carried that anxiety for a long time since.
