Do you live at Sugar Mountain? I don't live too far from there. I am in West Jefferson.

I don’t live in Sugar Mountain. My grandpa is from West Jefferson though! Actually, he left home in 1900 to homestead in Oregon and he never got to go back. I think West Jefferson was the closest town to his family home that still exists. My husband and I spent last winter near Asheville and we drove up to see the area. It is so beautiful there! I chose the to set the series there in the mountains partly because it’s so lovely and partly to honor my grandpa who died when I was a baby. I never really knew him and I think of it as a way to be close to him ❤️ Thanks for reaching out!
