Do you plan out all of the details of your books or do you just go with whatever feels right? Is it a mix of both?

I do very little planning. I don't plot (unless I'm working with a co-writer) but I do take a lot of time to make sure I know the main characters inside and out before I start. Once I have them clear in my head...I let them steer the ship!
