Hi! I love your Carpathian series and have read them all. Unfortunately, I can't remember where it is mentioned that Gary's lifemate is currently a child, as I've seen referenced in several "Ask the Author" questions. Which book is that in? I'm currently waiting for Dark Song to come out and have been rereading the series. Thanks.

Christine Feehan You can see reference in Dark Legacy. But, the mythology supports this as well. Gary wasn't born Carpathian, so he had no lifemate until he was reborn as a Carpathian. At the moment he became Carpathian, a lifemate was born to him. She didn't exist for human Gary. No spirit inhabited some grown woman. Gary's soul split at the time of his rebirth and his lifemate was then created and born. He has some time before he can find and claim her.
