Hi Janice, You make reference to the "Stromford Cathedral " as being a landmark for returning WWII bombers .Would that not be Lincoln Cathedral and all the cobbles ? Great reading Graham, Vancouver Island, Canada

Thank you so much for getting in touch. I'm really pleased you enjoyed my book. Stromford/shire is an imaginery city, but it is inspired by Lincoln/shire where I have lived for over twenty years. A lot of people have noticed the similarites between the two cities! Yes, Lincoln cathedral was a beacon of home for returning bombers. I thought that as Stromford is an East Midlands city, why not Stromford Cathedral too! I live very near Scampton air base. Our local pub was used by airmen during WWII.

Hi Janice. Not a question...? I recognised similarities between Stromford & Lincoln. I noticed a previous message you sent. I live on the RAF base & have been to the pub you referenced many a time- fab meals. Loved your 1st book in this series, just about to start the 2nd one. Stay safe Janice
