Goodreads asked P.A. O'Neil:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

P.A. O'Neil Do it! Don't ever say, "I want to be a writer", and then not transfer anything from you brain to "paper". The only way you can improve your skills is to practice doing the thing in the area you want to excel in. Yes, your work may be crude and full of grammatical errors, but that's what editors are for. That doesn't mean you can afford to be sloppy. It means you have an opportunity to be shown the faults that can be improved upon. Do it!
