I am doing a reread of Dark Sentinel and in ch. 9 they have this discussion about life mates. How when the men are born their souls are torn in half. If they don’t find their life mate during that lifetime it goes on to be born again. So he has another chance. So what I was wondering Is why then when their life mate dies they either meet the sun or become a vampire. Why don’t they just wait for her soul to be reborn?

Why do serial killers kill? Some don't want to wait for their lifemate. Some can't find them. Some like the feeling of power they get when they kill. Some people (Carpathians) have no honor. Some are just going to be bad no matter what. Some are mentally ill, like Draven.

I know how I want everything to be, but whenever I try to describe a scene it just seems wrong. 2. I feel it's lacking the mood I want. 3. How do I stop my writer's block? 4. I'm worried it's too fast-paced. Do you have any advice? Thank you!

Hi Christine I loved Dark Song. But was very disappointed in the Audible Version narrated by Jim Frangione. He changed the pronunciations of Genevieve and joie names. I didn't know who he was talking about. At first I thought they were new characters. Then he mention Traian lifemate Joie's and slaughter her name. So I went back and listen to Dark Carousel he pronounced Genevieve name Correctly So Why did he change?
