Yes, of course! The fact that Nolyn is the name of the first book should be a big clue. For people who read Legends, you may recall he was born in Age of War. Some appear through the remembered thoughts of others (because they died long ago), and some make "real-life" appearances.
It may help to know that the first book( Nolyn begins 800 years after the events of Age of Empyre. There are a number of "long-lived" characters that are still alive in all that time. And for the ones that are, many of them show up between the covers of the book. Thanks for asking!
