We saw Velas in Adon's bedroom when Vorain and Jonan stole his books. She was sleeping in his bed, which leads me to believe that they had a romantic relationship. Is that true? Also, why was there a fake Meros?

Sarah mentions that when she uses Mana types from her contracts she copies Mana already in her body. Is this something that requires a contract or could a sufficiently experienced summoner learn how to do it without a contract? I would assume if someone learned how they would keep it secret due to the huge advantage it would provide. also can Sarah use her contract allowed mana types when helping Corwan enchant?
