Hello Mr Shan i just wanted to ask where the insperation for the demonata series came from . Did it come from your own experiance of a paranormal event or a tramumatic expriance with a ghost at a young age ?

No, it all grew out of the Lord Loss poem than appears at the start of Book 1. I wrote that first, and it stuck with me, and ended up leading me to write a story about him.

Hi Darren! I watched 'Jojos Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood' the other day and noticed some similarities between the ending of that arc (episode 9) and 'Ocean of Blood' - it made it SO much more emotional for me because I was reminded of OoB's ending. I was wondering if you'd ever watched the anime series/ read the manga? and if so, did they inspire OoB a bit? If not, it's just a bizarre (haha) parallel!! - Thanks
