The "thieves guild" is an informal name for the Orchestra, an organized crime syndicate supposedly controlled by Aayara Haven.
Aayara is one of the two eldest of the vae'kes - children of Vaelien, the King of Thorns. Vaelien is one of the most prominent deities on Mythralis.
The Thornguard are the primary military force in the north western region of the continent. Their name comes from their service to Vaelien, who is the primary god worshiped in that part of the continent.
The Blackstones are a supposed order of assassins dedicated to Jacinth, the Blackstone Assassin, the *other* oldest of Vaelien's children. Jacinth and Aayara are considered the demigods of assassins and thieves respectively and have a legendary rivalry.
In theory, all three organizations are on the same "side", as ultimately they all work under the same deity (Vaelien). In practice, the three organizations sometimes work together, but often have conflicting agendas.
