Ran out of room—sorry. OP made an incredible movie, The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I thought he would be perfect to make AHFOG. But then I read he was no longer attached which is a shame? What happened and so you know who’s directing the movie? Ben Wheatley, in my opinion would do a great job as well. Whom did you imagine helming or who was on your list of hopefuls. I can only imagine how personal it is to hand it over.

Thanks for the kind words. I love The Blackcoat's Daughter and am a huge fan of Ben Wheatley's films too. I have no contractual say in any of the movie goings on. but the latest is that Scott Cooper is slated to direct with Margarette Qualley to star as adult Merry. At this point, they're waiting for a covid health window, maybe this spring, to start filming.

I just read that Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) is an 1865 novel written by English mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. I wonder how many writers are also mathematician? And how that can combine to form certain writing style ?
