Sylvia Day Crossfire has been optioned for adaptation multiple times with multiple studios over the past decade. Unfortunately, finding a screenwriter who can adapt the story has proven to be an insurmountable hurdle thus far. We continue to search but the biggest issues seem to be studios/producers who want the story to be something it's not and screenwriters who think they can improve the story by taking the character names and making them different people. I don't know that any studio/producer team will ever get out of their way enough to get the story on a big or small screen but I can say they keep trying and so many studios want to take a crack at it that I remain hopeful.
