Who is Kyle he was not in the first book? Embers friend was named Trent who bar tended.

Beautifully Damaged was picked up by a publishing house in the spring of 2013. The re-release of the book in March 2014 was through the publishing house after I worked extensively with an editor: scenes were removed, new scenes were added, secondary characters were developed differently and Trent's name was changed to Kyle since my editor felt there were too many T names.
With all the changes, especially with Beautifully Forgotten releasing, my publisher and I tried to communicate these changes in Beautifully Damaged so those who read the original Indie version weren't confused when reading Lucien's story.
There is an editorial note on Beautifully Damaged's Amazon page that states it's a revised edition. There is also an Author's Note in the beginning of Beautifully Forgotten that references the changes in Beautifully Damaged from the Indie version to the new Montlake version, specifically the changing of Trent's name. A link on my Facebook page goes to a cheat sheet that details the major changes between the editions.
