Why don’t you list a cast of characters when there are so many generations in the back-story of your characters? Back-stories help (Simon particularly) character development for me, & that’s my #1 interest in any book series. Often though, I find all the names & generations confusing.

We have considered that and it might help. We will speak with our publisher. If you are interested in Simon and his back story you will find A Hanging at Dawn. (Harper Collins, November, 2020). Set mainly in India it tells how the Crawfords met Simon and got to know him. It deals with a family sedret Bess did not know. Wach section is told by a different charachter: Coronel Crawford, Melinda Crawford, Bess's mother and Bess herself.
