Hi C.J.! New fan here, just finished gobbling up The Chalk Man and The Hiding Place (on audio - competed them both inside a week), loved them both. Before I read anything else about you, I had definitely picked up on that Stephen King vibe, especially with the latter - I'm also a big fan of his work. My question is: Have you had an opportunity to meet Mr. King yet? Do you know what he thinks of your work?

Thank you! I am a huge Stephen King fan and constant reader. I haven't met him but he did read The Chalk Man and very graciously posted a lovely tweet about it. That was pretty much the best moment of my life! I think if I did ever meet him I would probably embarrass myself completely in a very uncool fangirl type way! x

Hello. I have been hooked and am reading The Other People. I am on page 78 and confused about reference to Izzy's parents. Is that an error? The social worker has offered Gabe "if he would like her to contact anyone, he thought of Izzy's parents...he called Harry and Evelyn," Harry and Evelyn are Jenny's parents, not Izzy's. Is this actually an error that made it to print? Thanks.

In The Other People, which I loved by the way, you refer to walking the Green Mile. In most prisons this is referred to as the Last Mile. Was this a deliberate nod to Stephen King, or just another example of how his work is so popular it has come to influence our language, in the way we now call internet searches "googling"?
