G. Derek Adams:
There is no such thing as the writer who has only one book in him. What else can we expect from you in the future? What are you mulling over as a possible plot line?

(view spoiler)[The adventures of Jonas and Rime will continue, of course. The third book is already in rough shape in my head, title: Asteroid Made of Dragons. But that is not the final tome - no trilogies around here. The nature of the stories are purposefully episodic, but building in larger arcs towards a final point. As close readers have noticed there's some fairly overt foreshadowing that Our Heroes' journey ends in a dark, dark place - so I want to have as many wacky adventures as possible before we get there.
So! Book three has our Heroes journeying to Gilead. The last few drabs of Jonas' hidden past are revealed and Rime puts the Gray Witch's prophecy to the test on her own search for the secrets of Wild Magic. After that, the books are going to take about a year time-jump, and we'll rejoin Our Heroes in whatever scrape they are currently embroiled in. I know at some point I want to do a Harry Potter spoof in this universe, and some sort of 'war' story - but beyond those vague notions the road to the last days remains cloudy - which I'm thankful for.
I also have another story idea germinating - something set in our 'reality' - maybe a period piece from the 80's - about a group that devote themselves to the strangest of vocations - the creation, cultivation, and sustainment of local myths and monsters. I.E. the guys whose job it is to drive around in a van with gorilla masks and boomboxes and convince small towns that they have a Goat-man in the lake or a vampire in the abandoned church - big jobs like the Jersey Devil or Loch Ness Monster. It's still pretty nebulous, but I like the way its sprouting. Working title: Terrato Factotem [Monster Maker, if my crude handle on Latin is any guide.] (hide spoiler)]
