Hello Robin! I am SO excited for your new series, Ministry of Unladylike Activity, coming out in 2022! I just wanted to check, is the book based in Hong Kong? And could you please tell me some tips on becoming a writer (because I want to be one when I am older)? Thank you so much, Amelie (aged 10)

Hi Amelie, thank you! The first book will definitely be set in England in 1940, but after that I can't be sure - it's possible that I may set a book or part of a book in Hong Kong at some point in the future. We'll just have to wait and see what happens!
Really the only tip I can give anyone who wants to become a writer is to be reading and writing a lot - reading shows you how other people tell stories, and helps you discover what kind of story you want to tell, and writing gives you practice actually telling your own stories. Good luck with it - keep going and don't give up!
