I know that you probably have a million questions to answer and won't have time to read this but I'm writing it anyway. On your website, it says that you got "heavily involved in local theater and in school speech and debate competitions". What inspired you to go back to writing? Since you are one of my favourite authors I decided to act as you for a drama project, I would like to act as accurate as possible.

Hi Lily,
I think what drew me back to writing was the birth of my first child. I quit work to stay home with him but needed something bigger to occupy my mind. Theater wasn't an option for me at that time - doing the mom thing was more important - but writing filled my need to create story.
Good luck on the drama project, and thank you!

Hi Mrs. Nielson! I loved the Ascendance Trilogy and the unique names of the characters and places. Amarinda, Sage, Carthya, Avenia... and so many more! Anyways I was just wondering, where do you get your inspiration for the creative names and what process do you go through to name a character?

Hey, so write now I'm writing/working a story of my own and I wanted to ask you something. Sometimes while I'm writing, my mind goes blank and I can't think of anything. I ask my friends and family, but some of the answers they give me don't help at all, and I end up not working on my book. Do you have any tips for when you get stuck on writing, even if you already have the plot layed out? Thanks!

Hi Mrs. Nielsen
I know I've asked a few questions on here, but more just keep popping into my head. I hope you don't mind!
So I just finished reading Mark of the Thief Trilogy and was wondering if you'd ever write another book for that series? I'd love to see Nic and Aurelia get married, along with Crispus and Livia. I'd also love to see what their life is like now that they're out of the Roman Empire. Thanks
