Danissa Macaraig
Danissa Macaraig asked Kendare Blake:

When you took Creative Writing in college, did your parents supported you in it, like, did they support the idea of you being a writer and not push you to take on other more complicated major?

Kendare Blake Point of fact, I took Creative Writing in grad school, by which time my parents had pretty much stopped caring. As an undergrad, I studied to become a stock analyst, because I didn't think I could earn a comfortable living off of writing. My parents agreed. But, as it happened I hated the jobs I got after college and moved back in with them anyway.

I'm going to make an ass out of U and Me by assuming you are thinking of studying writing and getting pushback from the rents. By "rents" I mean parents. You have to do what's right for you, but I will say that you don't have to study just one thing. Actually, it's nice to be educated in as many things as possible. Even now, I might go to culinary school someday to learn how to brown properly.
