Madeline, when did you realize yourself as a writer? After writing first book, publishing , success or …? You know this feeling inside «I am truly a writer»

Madeline Martin I was (and still am LOL) a voracious reader first, but soon after falling into books, I started getting ideas in my head for stories of my own. I have several books I wrote in elementary, middle and high school (including one I even made a cover for out of fabric and cardboard). But as for counting myself as an actual writer, I think it felt 'real' was when I published my first book, though looking back, I really was a writer from the first time I put pen to paper and let my imagination spill out. :)
