Hi! Big fan of the Spellslinger serie in quebec here! I read the description about Play of shadows and was wondering if, to understand the story, I had to read the Greatcoats serie. Is it the case? Also, I saw that Way of the argosi was now published!!! Is the traduction in french will be here anytime soon? As for the final of the Spellslinger serie, the french traduction is not publish in Quebec, only in France...

1. You wouldn't need to have read the Greatcoats series to jump into Play of Shadows.
2. Way of the Argosi is indeed published. I haven't yet heard whether Gallimard Jeunesse is buying the French rights, so it might be good to drop them an e-mail!
3. Hors La Loi should be available in Quebec. Drop me an e-mail at my site (decastell.com/contact) if you're hearing that it's not available and I'll check with my publishers.

Are statements allowed? I really enjoyed the Greatcoats series and wanted to thank you for giving me many hours of reading enjoyment. This series gave me all the things I look for in a fantasy/adventure series. I fell in love with the characters and struggled when they did and triumphed when they did as well. I read quite a bit so I see many attempts at greatness...You sir have succeeded!!
