What gave you the inspiration for the vines? I've only read that one, but have the rest ready and waiting lol.

Thank you. Gosh, what inspired me. I'm terrified of the natural world. I'm a total city dweller, and when my family moved from San Francisco to Louisiana when I was ten years old, I found the swampy landscape menacing. I hated not knowing where the land ended and the water began. So I've always held an irrational awe/fear of nature itself, and so it doesn't take a lot of effort for me to create a world in which plants devour people.
