Goodreads asked Lydia Howe:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lydia Howe I thankfully haven't had writer's block for a long, long time. I think the best way to deal with it when it does come up is either A) Give yourself a time limit or words limit and write anything you want to until you've reached your goal. This helps the creativity to begin spinning around. B) Go out and do something random and fun to get the juices flowing again... Stand out in the pouring rain while singing at the top of your lungs, sleep on the floor for a month, try to knit with your toes, or eat a crazy combination like pickles and chocolate icing. And C) Sometimes you just need to allow yourself to take a break and breath deeply and not worry about results.
